What's Tour de Max About? Maximum fun. Maximum challenge. Maximum Elevation Gain (not really, but plenty nonetheless). In memory of Max Seales Yonker, a great survivor. Join us for a challenging tour of the San Francisco Peninsula. Our long ride has 7,000 feet of climbing in 70 miles, climbing sunny Page Mill Road AND the lush and quiet Tunitas Creek Road. Our short ride rolls through Portola Valley, Los Altos Hills, and Los Altos. Less challenging vertical, but there's 3,000 feet of rollers to challenge the legs, and we use quiet, suburban roadways. Both courses provide our excellent SAG support and rest stops. Riders will enjoy our Dutch Goose-hosted barbeque, live music, and a fun raffle. We promise a good time, and to donate at least 70% of your registration fees to our charities, the Max Seales Yonker Foundation and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
Tour de Max is Sunday, 10 August 2008! Registration is OPEN! |
It's not a ride, it's a tax deduction...how cool is that? Ride proceeds will go directly to the Max Seales Yonker Foundation...it's part of your annual charity plan!

"Loved the ride, the support was fantastic. I will definitely be back next year. My wife is a breast cancer survivor so this event is going to be special to me. Thanks again and keep up the good work."
"I did the 40 ride and it was great... i was totally challenged and felt great accomplishing it... the pit stops were wonderful and so supportive... you all did a great job for a great cause!"
"I thought the route was a classic. It had everything you'd want in a century ride, just compressed into 70 miles. It's definitely climbing intensive, but the website does a good job of advertising the fact. I enjoy the climbing challenge, so don't change anything!"
"Tunitas Creek was PERFECT! what can get better than a cold coke at the middle of this road??? all of the folks at the rest stops were very nice and supportive. Thank you!"

"Only one suggestion... provide rockets for me to attach to my bike at the bottom of the Tunitas Creek climb. Haha!"
New for 08! We've got a Tour de Max Jersey... Check it out on the Signup Page...
