The Long Course - Metric Century (67 miles)
Starts at mid-peninsula and takes riders through the rolling hills of suburban Menlo Park, Portola Valley,
Woodside, and Palo Alto.  This ride will again be a very hilly metric century.  This year's ride will challenge
you with a brisk jaunt up the challenging Page Mill Road!  We'll have a rest stop at the top.  The ride will
proceed down West Alpine Road (be CAREFUL on the technical, narrow part of this road!) and we'll have a
rest stop at Pescadero Elementary School.  Old Stage Road will take you all the way to the coast.  A short
ride north on Highway 1 will place us on the 10-mile Tunitas Creek Road climb.  This is challenging and
beautiful!  A fast downhill back to Woodside on King's Mountain Road will put us in good shape for the
final rollers back to the start-finish.  7000 vertical feet!   We will have motorcycle and auto sag support, with
HAM radios at rest stops and in some of the Sag vehicles.
Short Course - 40 miles
Starts mid-Peninsula and takes riders through the rolling hills of suburban Menlo Park, Los Altos Hills,
and Palo Alto.  This is a new route that will be 40-50 miles in length.  Don't worry, you'll get to climb, but it
won't be the vertical-fest of the long route!  Everybody on this route will get a chance to do a climb up Page
Mill to Altamont... then we'll roll through the Los Altos foothills.  We'll do a turnaround and rest stop hosted
by our sponsor Chain Reaction Bikes in Los Altos.

After The Ride...
Thanks to Menlo Park's Own "The Dutch Goose" for providing this year's scrumptuous  hot post-ride
lunch.  With a menu of burgers, veggie-burgers, chili, and salad, you can definitely refuel after a hard ride.
And for those who must have a post-ride libation, Gordon Biersch has donated the beer!
